MAC 414 Waterborne Release & Antitack Coating
Description:MAC-414 is a water based resin emulsion intended for use as a release coating in rubber molding processes and as an antitack coating for uncured rubber. This product represents an economically attractive replacement for the conventional release and antitack/antistick agents used in in the rubber industry and, at the same time, offers superior properties to such agents.

MAC-414 is a concentrate and is intended to be diluted with water prior to application.
For molds, the diluted product can be applied by conventional means, such as wiping or spraying, with the latter being preferred. Ideally, the surface being treated should be hot to allow the water to evaporate quickly.
For uncured rubber, the diluted product can be applied by spraying, flow coating or dipping.
Safety and Handling:
The Material Safety Data Sheet for MAC-414 should be reviewed prior to using the product. Freezing of the product should be avoided. MAC-414 has a very low order of toxicity. If product contacts the eyes, minor irritation may result, but flushing with water will minimize any discomfort. Prolonged contact with skin should also be avoided.
