MAC 1149 Slab Dip Coating

MAC-1149 is an aqueous product supplied as a concentrate. It has proven to be an extremely effective antistick/antitack coating for uncured rubber stock and cured rubber. MAC-1149 furnishes a thin, colorless film coating that can be used with black or colored natural and synthetic rubber stock and will not contaminate the rubber stock. It contains no heavy metals or powders (zinc, calcium or stearates).

Technical Data:

  • Color and appearance....................Clear light amber liquid
  • Diluent.........................................Water
  • Specific gravity..............................1.01
  • Weight per gallon (lbs.)..................8.4

Application Method:

MAC-1149 is supplied as a concentrate and should be diluted prior to application. Initial recommended dilution is five parts water to one part McLube by volume. The optimum dilution rate for MAC-1149 on uncured rubber will depend on the particular compound or process involved. Further dilution rates should be evaluated until optimum performance benefits are realized. Dilution rates of 20:1 to 50:1 are common. Product should be added to water rather than adding water to product concentrate to minimize foaming.

Safety and Handling:

The Safety Data Sheet, which accompanies each shipment, should be reviewed prior to using MAC-1149. Freezing of the product should be avoided. MAC-1149 has a low order of toxicity. Care should be taken that good industrial handling practices are used.

MAC-1149 is available in one-, five-, 55, and 275-gallon containers.
