MAC 1197 Rotational - Flow Promoter and Surface Enhancer

Description:

MAC-1197 was designed to spray over the existing release coating in difficult areas to enhance penetration and release of the compound. MAC-1197 doesn't require a cure and it will enhance releases for multiple cycles before reapplication is required. MAC-1197 improves part appearance by preventing the formation of holes, blemishes and defects.

Technical Data:

  • Color and appearance................Translucent, milky-white emulsion
  • Dispersing medium....................Water
  • Specific gravity..........................1.0
  • Weight per gallon (lbs.)..............8.3

Application Method:

MAC-1197 is a flow promoter and should be used in conjunction with the appropriate "McLUBE" or "MAC" mold release for rotational molding. MAC-1197 should be applied as received to tight corners, narrow cross-sections and other difficult areas. It can be applied to hot or cold molds, but preheating the mold to at least 200°F (90°C) will facilitate evaporation of the water. Proper application of the release coating will help achieve the maximum number of releases per application.

Safety and Handling:

  • The Safety Data Sheet for MAC-1197 should be reviewed before using the product.
  • None of the ingredients in MAC-1197 are considered hazardous; however, good industrial practice suggests the use of safety glasses and gloves.
  • Product should be protected from freezing. Container should be kept covered to prevent evaporation and eliminate any product contamination.
