Description:
Solvent based bonded dry film PTFE lubricant and coating that will bond tenaciously to all surfaces. Will provide a colorless film coating with excellent lubricity and a low coefficient of friction. Provides excellent stick-slip properties. Stable to 550°F. Handy Aerosol and bulk packaging.Technical Data:

Application Method:

Surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned and dried before applying McLube 1700L PTFE dry film lubricant. McLube Mold Cleaner may be used. McLube 1700L is intended for use as supplied. Since the product is a dispersion of solid particles, agitation is required prior to use and periodically during use. Any conventional application method can
be used for the product - spraying, dipping, wiping or brushing. A thin, even coating should be applied, and after the solvent has evaporated, a second coat is recommended.

The Material Safety Data Sheet for McLube 1700L should be reviewed before using the product. The precautions to be observed in handling McLube 1700L dry film lubricant are those related to the solvent blend in the product - heptane, ethanol, butyl acetate. These solvents are flammable, and thus, the product should be kept away from heat, sparks and flames. Use only with adequate ventilation, especially in enclosed areas. The active ingredient is
essentially nontoxic, but heating it above 550°F may cause formation of potentially harmful substances. Smoking should not be permitted while using McLube 1700L, and contamination of tobacco products should be avoided. Safety glasses and gloves are recommended when using this product.
